IOTL, Prussia wound up uniting and dominating the German Empire. Since the Kingdom of Prussia was obviously powerful enough to do that, and Brandenburg-Prussia was obviously powerful enough to become Prussia and do that, it stands to reason that Brandenburg must have been just as powerful.
The logic is simple, obvious, and wrong. (How wrong will be discussed later.)
